  • Tiffaney Lu, a certified Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), graduated from Vancouver Career College with a diploma at the beginning of January 2018. She has completed an accelerated 2800- hour program which included hands-on experience and extensive clinical training.

    Tiffaney became motivated to pursue a career in massage therapy to help relieve pain and aid healing through hands-on manipulation. With the knowledge she has gained from her studies, Tiffaney has excelled in finding solutions for her patients to manage their acute and chronic conditions. Overall, improving the quality of life for her patients through massage therapy has been a rewarding experience.

    While in school, Tiffaney has worked with numerous conditions and diverse populations through her placements at several outreaches. These include but are not limited to high-risk pregnancy massage at BC Women’s Hospital, geriatric massage at senior residential care facilities, systemic massage for HIV-positive members, and massage therapy at both the Vancouver Career College’s student massage clinic and UBC Hospital.

    These placements have contributed abundant training for her in treating a wide variety of orthopedic and neurological conditions such as; Frozen Shoulder, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Diabetic Neuralgia, Plantar Fasciitis, Scoliosis etc. However, she enjoys focusing on chronic pain and stress management. Tiffaney applies techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, joint mobilization, hydrotherapy and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) stretching to administer effective treatments.

    She is a strong believer in the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Combining this concept with proper client education, personalized treatment plans and homecare have produced significant results in her practice. Tiffaney also believes that comprehensive listening and communication for her patient’s health concerns have been a crucial skill that her patients’ value. She maintains a high level of professionalism and clinical effectiveness while making sure to keep a gentle caring bedside manner.

    When she’s not at work, Tiffaney takes pleasure in being outdoors and on the water. She loves kayaking, camping around fires, and deep-sea fishing for red snapper and salmon. She also has fun experimenting with new cooking recipes, trying alternative forms of art, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
